The Cat Who Went to Paris (Peter Gethers) BOOK REVIEW

Ahoy!

This wasn't a book I expected to find myself reading, but I did, and I enjoyed it!

In a nutshell:

The Actual review:

As I was looking at my mom's bookshelf, this was one of the books that caught my attention. My mom has not read this yet, but, as I will to you, I recommend it.

On the back of my copy, it declares that this book is ideal for cat lovers and people who think they don't like cats alike.... Personally, I'm not sure how true this. As a cat lover myself, I have met many people like Gethers earlier on in the book: For him, no  book or film could have changed his opinion on cats and based on the people I have met, he is one in a huge majority.

Humour, there is LOTS of it. He is always making witty remarks and he writes in an interesting, light-hearted way that is truly uplifting. The funniest part was the account of his run in with the stewardess, err, I mean flight-attendant and whilst reading it (and after), I was literally crying with laughter!

The ending (here I am commenting on the afterword), is very sentimental, cute and a nice finish to a dramatic, funny and tear-jerking story. All in all, I look forward to reading the next two.:

Rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In conclusion:
⚫️ It is a funny, light-hearted read
⚫️ everyone can enjoy it
⚫️ mixed emotions will arise!

  1. I love a good book that will make me giggle ! I might have to give it a try because I'm definitely a cat lover :) I'd sleep on the floor if my cat looked too cute to move on the bed haha :)

    1. Haha, my cat doesn't sleep on my bed but I will refuse to move her if she's sat on the sofa!

  2. Such a fun review, Hannah! :) I'm not really a cat-lover but given the fact that this is humorously-filled, I think I might want to check this out on Goodreads.

  4. I'm more of a dog person than a cat person but I love the idea of a cat going to Paris. Great review!

    1. Far enough! I can't strongly reccomend The Cat Who Went to Paris to anyone but a cat person, but it is interesting and humorous nonetheless.
